Scott Stephenson
CEO
Scott Stephenson is a dark matter physicist turned Deep Learning entrepreneur. He earned a PhD in particle physics from University of Michigan where his research involved building a lab two miles underground to detect dark matter. Scott left his physics post-doc research position to found Deepgram.


Shadi Baqleh
COO
Shadi brings over 20 years of go-to-market experience building and scaling Software- and Infrastructure-as-a-service organizations. He designed and led the customer engagement experience at a number of voice technology companies including BlueJeans (now part of Verizon), and Voicea (now part of Cisco).


Natalie Rutgers
SVP of Product
Natalie is one of the human brains behind Deepgram's AI-driven products. With a background in product design, she creates user-focused experiences that make it possible for all developers and businesses to build with voice.


Adam Sypniewski
CTO
Adam Sypniewski is Deepgram's Chief Technology Officer. He earned his Ph.D. in experimental astrophysics from the University of Michigan, where he applied machine learning to help understand dark energy. After graduating, Adam went into industry, applying machine learning and deep learning to problems of autonomous vehicles and human-machine interaction. At Deepgram, he leads the research and engineering teams in building state-of-the-art speech recognition that are deployed on Deepgram's high-performance computing platform.


Anoop Dawar
CSO
As Chief Strategy Officer, Anoop brings extensive experience in driving strategic growth and transformation at leading technology companies. With a proven track record of success at GitLab, Meta, Aerohive (Acq: EXTR), MapR (Acq: HPE), and Cisco, Anoop specializes in scaling startups from inception to IPO and beyond. His expertise spans product management, pricing, operations, marketing, and engineering, with a focus on building solutions for enterprises and SMBs across AI, analytics, data, SaaS, security, open source, and infrastructure. Anoop's strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in guiding companies through pivotal milestones, including IPOs and acquisitions. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, a master's in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.


Myra El-Bayoumi
CMO
Myra has spent 15+ years proving that a distinct point of view is a company's best growth strategy. As Chief Marketing Officer at Deepgram, she's channeling that conviction into the most fundamental interface there is—voice. Previously, as VP of Brand & Corporate Marketing at Redis, she led a full rebrand and built a best-in-class team spanning brand, PR & comms, web, customer marketing, and AI campaigns—expanding Redis' equity beyond caching and into AI infrastructure. Earlier, she led brand strategy at Microsoft following more than a decade in brand consulting. She believes great storytelling turns employees into evangelists and prospects into customers. Born and raised on the east coast of Canada, Myra holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University and an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.


Ralphette English
VP of Customer Success
Ralphie was the first Customer Success hire at Deepgram, bringing 12 years of technical support, implementation management, and customer success experience. She has spent the last 4 years building Customer Success teams from the ground up.


Jason Rubinstein
CFO
Jason Rubinstein brings over 15 years of finance, strategy, and planning experience. Originally a nuclear submarine officer, he’s since led finance teams at Google and Marketo, and was most recently VP of Finance at Yext. He holds a BS in Engineering from Bucknell and an MBA from Duke.


Chris Dyer
VP of Sales
Chris was the first go-to-market hire at Deepgram bringing 10 years of GTM and Sales experience from brands such as TechValidate (acquired by SurveyMonkey, now Momentive.ai) to scale the Deepgram team and customer base to where it is today.


Andrew Seagraves
VP of Research
Andrew is a computational scientist and theoretician turned Deep Learning researcher. He earned is PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT where he worked on simulating body armor fragmentation using giant supercomputers. After graduating, he worked for an energy company designing shaped charges and other explosive devices using AI. At Deepgram, he is a Research Scientist and Team Lead, where he does exploratory deep learning research and builds awesome new NLU products.


Kris Efland
VP of Engineering
Kris is VP of Engineering at Deepgram, where he helps small, focused teams turn cutting-edge speech AI into practical tools for developers. Over the past two decades he’s shipped everything from consumer gadgets and autonomous vehicles to global cloud services. Before Deepgram, Kris led the Amazon Personalize, and the Geospatial AI/ML portfolio at AWS, launching satellite-imagery capabilities for Amazon SageMaker. Earlier, he headed both autonomous mapping and autonomous AI tooling at Lyft and held senior engineering leadership roles at HERE and Nokia, with a few startup adventures along the way. Kris cares most about building products customers actually use and mentoring engineers who love their craft.


Holly Hogan

Deepgram's General Counsel
Leading the legal function in support of the company’s mission to power conversations through advanced, contextualized voice AI models and solutions built for the real world. Holly brings deep experience advancing the ambition and scale of innovative companies. Holly previously led the legal team at Automattic (WordPress.com), and was a partner in the litigation group at K&L Gates LLP, working with high-growth technology companies. Holly has a B.A. in Politics from the University of San Francisco and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.


Matt Hunter
Chief of Staff
Matt is a product and operations leader with extensive experience scaling technology firms. He began his career in strategy consulting at Bain & Company, then went on to serve as a VP of Product across multiple SaaS and analytics startups, including App Annie (backed by Sequoia Capital) and Branch Metrics (backed by Founders Fund). He later moved into Chief of Staff roles focused on organizational scale and execution, most recently as Chief of Staff at Google, supporting a ~$30B Ads business with ~2,000 employees. Across roles, his through-line has been managing complexity—helping teams add structure and operating discipline without losing momentum. He brings a blend of technical and business training, including an MA in Economics from Oxford, an MBA from Tsinghua University, and an MSc in Information Systems from Cardiff University.
