2X Solutions AI Turns Real-Time Transcription into a Compliance Control for Regulated Voice Outreach with Deepgram

2X Solutions AI builds voice infrastructure for industries where a missed word isn't a UX problem. It's a regulatory violation. When a consumer says "stop calling me," the system has to catch it, suppress the number, and terminate the call immediately.

By deploying Deepgram's Nova-2 speech-to-text model on-premise as the core transcription layer, 2X Solutions processes millions of calls with the accuracy and speed required to treat every transcript as a system of record, not just a convenience feature.

2X Solutions AI builds voice infrastructure for industries where a missed word isn't a UX problem. It's a regulatory violation. The company's platform powers automated outbound and blended call programs for compliance-sensitive verticals, where every interaction must be provable, auditable, and enforceable in real time. When a consumer says "stop calling me," the system has to catch it, suppress the number, and terminate the call immediately. That's not a product requirement. It's federal law.

Key Results at a Glance

  • 7.3 million+ calls processed since July 2025, with Deepgram's Nova-2-phonecall model handling the bulk of real-time transcription
  • Sub-2-second transcription turnaround maintained to meet TCPA response-time requirements
  • Real-time opt-out detection and suppression: consumer do-not-call requests are captured and enforced during the call, not hours later
  • On-premise deployment on 2 dedicated GPUs, with plans to scale as call volume grows
  • 5-year transcript retention with full audit trail for regulatory disputes and QA review

For most companies deploying voice AI, transcription errors mean an awkward chatbot response or a garbled summary. For 2X Solutions' customers, who run regulated outbound calling programs, a transcription error can mean a TCPA violation, a lawsuit, or a fine.

The regulatory framework is precise. FCC rules require that when a consumer uses an opt-out mechanism during a prerecorded or AI telemarketing call, the system must automatically record the number to the caller's do-not-call list and immediately terminate the call. Separately, any do-not-call request must be recorded at the time it's made and honored within a defined window. The transcript is the proof: what was said, when it was said, and how the system responded.

This shaped every vendor decision 2X Solutions made:

  • Accuracy under telephony conditions: not clean audio benchmarks, but real phone calls with background noise, accents, interruptions, and poor connections
  • Low enough latency for in-call enforcement: opt-out language can't wait until post-call processing
  • Consistency at high concurrency: compliance requirements don't relax when call volume spikes
  • Auditability: word-level timestamps and traceability so transcripts hold up under dispute or regulator review

The Solution: On-Premise Streaming STT Built for Compliance

Why Deepgram

2X Solutions evaluated several STT providers against a narrow set of requirements: telephony-grade accuracy, real-time streaming with usable interim results, and a deployment model that could scale without per-conversation SaaS markups. The evaluation focused on real calling conditions, not benchmark datasets.

  • Streaming transcription with interim results: Deepgram's real-time API returns interim transcripts fast enough for compliance logic to act before an utterance is complete, which is critical for catching opt-out language mid-sentence
  • Telephony audio performance: The Nova-2-phonecall model is optimized for the noisy, compressed audio that characterizes real phone calls, not studio recordings
  • On-premise deployment: Self-hosted on AWS with dedicated GPUs, giving 2X Solutions control over concurrency limits, latency, and data residency
  • Custom vocabulary and keyword boosting: Improved recognition of compliance-critical phrases like opt-out language, disclosure terms, and consent-related statements without heavy post-processing
  • Enterprise security and data controls: TLS encryption, token-based authentication, configurable retention, and PII redaction capabilities aligned with their compliance posture

Technical Implementation

2X Solutions runs two primary workflows on top of Deepgram:

Real-time compliance monitoring (Workflow A):

  1. A call connects via the telephony stack and live audio is streamed to Deepgram's on-premise STT cluster
  2. Deepgram returns interim and final transcripts with word-level timestamps and confidence scores
  3. The compliance engine monitors the transcript stream for opt-out intent ("stop," "do not call," "remove me"), required disclosures, and prohibited language
  4. If opt-out intent is detected, the system triggers immediate suppression across all workflows and terminates the call
  5. The full transcript with timestamps is stored as the auditable record

Post-call QA and dispute resolution (Workflow B):

  • Completed call transcripts are stored with metadata and timestamps
  • QA and compliance teams search transcripts for proof of disclosures, opt-out handling, and script adherence
  • When a consumer complaint or regulator inquiry arrives, the transcript serves as the primary evidence

The platform uses Deepgram's Node.js SDK with WebSocket connections for streaming. The on-premise cluster runs Nova-2-phonecall as the primary model, with early experimentation on Flux for conversational endpointing and small volumes of batch transcription for post-call analytics.

Outcomes and Impact

Since deploying Deepgram as the core STT layer, 2X Solutions has processed over 7.3 million calls, the majority through Nova-2-phonecall in real-time streaming mode.

Compliance confidence:

  • Opt-out detection operates in real time, with transcription turnaround consistently under the 2-second threshold required by TCPA standards
  • Transcripts serve as the auditable record for disputes and regulator inquiries, with word-level timestamps linking text to specific moments in the call
  • The platform maintains a call abandonment rate below 2%, the practical ceiling for compliance in automated outbound programs

Operational stability:

  • The on-premise deployment handles production concurrency without degradation, with infrastructure scaling planned as customer volume grows
  • Fewer manual corrections and downstream retries, because telephony-optimized transcription reduces errors on the phrases that matter most: opt-out language, consent terms, and caller disclosures

Reduced risk surface:

  • Before Deepgram, the primary concern was "silent failures," where an opt-out spoken by the consumer was not captured by the system. Each missed opt-out represents potential regulatory exposure across every subsequent contact attempt
  • With real-time detection and immediate suppression, the window for compliance failures has narrowed from hours (post-call processing) to seconds (in-call enforcement)

Looking Ahead

2X Solutions is scaling its voice infrastructure to serve more compliance-heavy verticals and higher call volumes. Near-term priorities include:

  • Expanded QA and compliance analytics: Automated risk flags, script adherence scoring, and structured reporting built on top of the transcript layer
  • Real-time agent assist: Supervisory compliance tools that surface alerts and guidance to human agents during live calls
  • Deeper dispute resolution tooling: Faster retrieval and analysis of transcript evidence when handling consumer complaints or regulatory inquiries
  • Infrastructure scaling: Additional GPU capacity for the on-premise cluster as customer deployments grow

The TCPA compliance landscape continues to tighten, and 2X Solutions' position is that the companies who treat transcription as a compliance control, not an afterthought, will be the ones still operating when enforcement catches up. Deepgram's on-premise STT gives them the accuracy, speed, and auditability to back that position with confidence.
