Zian (Andy) Wang is a deep learning researcher and technical writer. His research mainly focuses on applying deep learning methods to tabular data, image processing, and natural language processing. His work at the Najafian Lab at the University of Washington is centered around improving and discovering techniques for biomedical image segmentation. As a high school student, Andy published "Modern Deep Learning for Tabular Data" with Apress, which exposes and synthesizes lesser-known deep learning tools and techniques backed by recent research and potential new directions for tabular data modeling. Outside of work and academic pursuits, Andy is an avid pianist and competitive swimmer.
